There should be a huge boost of revenue from outside Tinley park this coming Sunday, July 17, due to the special guest appearance of Blackhawks and NHL LEGEND, Bobby Hull. I don’t care who you are or where you’re from, hockey fans know he was one of the best to ever play the game.
If you haven’t met Bobby, check him out. I’d have to say he’s definitely an interesting character. I’ve met him twice. He’s all smiles and usually has something clever to say. His “handlers” usually have some good stories, too, if you get a chance to chat with them in line.
I was holding on to Bobby Hull jigsaw puzzle (from my late Grandma, Shirley Rompala) produced in 1970, since I was 18. It was a huge goal of mine to get the puzzle autographed. I could never find any information on appearances by Bobby. Well, it only took about 10 years until Mr. Hull came back as an ambassador for the Chicago Blackhawks before I was finally able to get that bad boy certified by the Golden Jet, himself.

Lotto dreams in Tinley Park (and thoughtful, less than materialistic ways to spend it or not spend it)
That’s right. $29.5 MILLION. I’m less than half a mile from the Speedway at 183rd and Harlem, where the winning ticket was sold. I’ve purchased quite a few lotto tickets from that same Speedway. Ouch. And that’s just the regular ol’ lottery, not the Mega Millions. It’s been growing since January.
So, it’s time for a little middle of the day…dreaming.
All I really want is freedom.
Freedom from stress.
Freedom from pressure.
Freedom from deadlines.
Freedom from bills.
Freedom from working 16 hour days.
Freedom to take a little road trip (or day trip).
I’d enjoy continuing on doing the same work I currently do (if you haven’t already noticed – that would be building websites for small business clients). And, I would only do work for small businesses, which, to me, is the most rewarding. I would free myself from the chains of freelancing for huge companies building websites for their clients.
I wasn’t able to make it to the largest event the Tinley Park Convention Center has seen to date. I’d love to hear thoughts from anyone who did get a chance Read more

Sunday, at the Tinley Park Jewel on 171st and Harlem, some guy somehow maneuvered a bottle of Smirnoff down his shorts and got away. Desperate times call for desperate measures, I suppose. And…those had to be some pretty tight shorts, Read more
